Welcome back to our Free Wholesale Training Course! In module 4, we discussed how to find wholesale leads for your Wholesale Amazon Business. You should now know how to track leads, and understand what a CRM is. Using the Demand Based Sourcing method, you can now find high volume products to resell on Amazon. You’ve also learned how to dive deep into a niche and use trade show websites to find wholesale leads. Once you learned those two methods, you put them together to do all the work quickly by using the Bulk Product Sourcing method. Finally, you now understand how important relationships are when it comes to finding wholesale leads.

Introduction to Wholesale Relationship Building
Welcome to the final part of this wholesale course journey – relationship building! If you are used to some of the other Amazon sourcing methods like online arbitrage or retail arbitrage, you are used to the products themselves being front and center. In the wholesale sourcing world, relationships are front and center. If you want the best contacts, best suppliers, and best products – you must build relationships.
We’ve talked a lot throughout this course about ways to find leads, and how to have solid value propositions to offer brand owners. All of those things are good – but the people that are good at building relationships will end up with the best partners.
What if you are an introvert and are deathly afraid to talk to people? Either you’ll have to get over your fears and just do it, or you’ll have to hire someone that has that skill set. Not everyone is extroverted and can talk to anyone. For some, it comes naturally. For others, they have to consistently work at it. Which one are you?
In this module, we’ll go over some of the basics of relationship building with brand owners. This is for those people that need to work at it. Extroverts may also gain some knowledge through this section, as it’s directly related to relationship building with brand owners. Either way, this is only a stepping stone to show you how to build relationships – not a 100% guide. There’s many other resources available that can teach you how to be an excellent networker and relationship builder.
By the end of this module, this is what you will learn:
- The basic sales mindset you need to have in order to succeed.
- How to make initial contact with suppliers.
- How to follow up with suppliers.
- How to negotiate and close deals with suppliers.
- How to keep relationships active by nurturing them.
Let’s get started!
